About this site
A starting point, not a guarantee. Programs change and every museum sets its own rules. Always call or check the museum's website before you go.
What it does
Many museum, zoo and garden memberships also get you into other places through reciprocal programs, such as NARM, ROAM, ASTC, ACM, AHS, AZA and Time Travelers. Each program publishes its own list. This site puts those lists on one map, so you can see where your card might get your family in free or at a discount.
Where the data comes from
About once a month, the site downloads each program's current list, keeps a dated copy, and rebuilds. Each listing shows which list it came from and when that list was last checked.
Membership prices are checked by hand on each museum's own website, with the date checked shown next to them.
Things that often trip people up
- Your membership level matters. Many museums include reciprocal programs only at higher levels. Look for the program logos printed on your card.
- Distance rules. Some programs don't apply near your home museum or your home. ASTC, for example, excludes places within 90 miles.
- Who's covered. Some programs cover only the people named on the card. Others cover a family or a set number of people.
- What's included. Special exhibits, events, parking and planetarium shows are often extra.
- Bring your card and a photo ID. Museums aren't required to honor a membership you can't show.
Locations and links
Some program lists give only a city, not an address. Those places are shown as approximate on the map. Directions open Google Maps, and when a list doesn't include a website, "Find website" runs a Google search rather than guessing a link.
Who made this
I'm a mom who loves museums. I built this to see if I could, and because figuring out where our membership works meant digging through a stack of PDFs. It's free to use, with no sign-up. A small ad at the bottom of some pages helps cover the costs of keeping it going.
Not affiliated
This site isn't run by or affiliated with any museum or reciprocal program. Program names belong to their owners. ASTC Travel Passport Program data is shown with ASTC's permission.
Ads
Some pages may show an ad at the bottom, clearly separate from the museum listings. Ads never change which places are listed or what they say. There are no paid or sponsored listings.
Privacy
- No accounts and no sign-up.
- The programs you pick are saved only in your own browser, so they're there next time. Nothing about you is sent to us.
- "Near me" uses your location only inside your browser to sort the list. It is never sent or stored.
- We count visits to see how the site is doing, without cookies and without identifying anyone.
- The map, fonts and any ad are loaded from other services (OpenStreetMap, Google Fonts, unpkg and, when ads are on, Google AdSense), which see your IP address like any website you visit. Ads from Google may use cookies; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Feedback opens your own email app. Only what you choose to send reaches us.
